Age: Upper Tithonean – Lower Verriasian.
Several angular blocks and cobbles of basalt and schist, as well as sanidine, plagioclase and biotite crystals are observed in limestone cavities and cracks. All the above are lithics and phenocrystals of the Kos plateau tuff (161 Ka, Smith et al. 1995)
, a fact demonstrating the presence of deposits of this formation in Kandeleousa; these have subsequently been eroded.
